Ralph Losey
Ralph C. Losey is an attorney, author, and educator in the field of electronic discovery and electronic records.
Ralph is a Partner of Jackson Lewis, LLP, where he serves as the firm’s National e-Discovery Counsel and chair of its Electronic Discovery Practice Group. Ralph has limited his practice to electronic discovery related issues since 2006. He is also an Adjunct Professor at the University of Florida College of Law teaching e-Discovery, Advanced e-Discovery, and Online e-Discovery.
Ralph is a prolific author on e-discovery, having written four books and four major articles in the past four years. His fourth book, Adventures in Electronic Discovery, was released in 2011 by West Thomson. His three prior books are Electronic Discovery: New Ideas, Trends, Case Law, and Practices (West 2010); Introduction to e-Discovery, (ABA 2009); and, e-Discovery: Current Trends and Cases (ABA 2008).
An active member of The Sedona Conference and frequent lecturer on e-discovery technologies, ethics, and collaborative methods, Ralph is also the principle author and publisher of a popular weekly blog on e-discovery, e-Discovery Team Blog (e-discoveryteam.com), which now averages over 400,000 visits per year. He has also created the first online law school course on electronic discovery and evidence, which is offered by the University of Florida College of Law as a 3-credit course. A version of the online course is now offered online to all attorneys at e-discoveryteamtraining.com.
Ralph received his B.A. from Vanderbilt University in 1973 and his J.D. with honors from the University of Florida School of Law in 1979.
